March
I have again waited the last minute to pick up a birthday cake. The theme of the pary is tinkerbell. The problem
is that I can’t order a "speical cake".So Do you think say Walmart would let me purchase a tinkerbell decoration from them? I found them on the internet but it has to be here by tomorrow afternoon.
Yes it would be fine! You can do overnight shipping, you just have to pay a little extra.

You should go to your local grocery or Wal-mart. The baker there will be able to help without taking a long time. They should have plain cakes made and then you could add the name and the Tinkerbell.

I’ve attached a link to Wilton’s web page dedicated to Tinkerbell. If you have a Michaels Arts & Crafts store near you, they sell Tinkerbell themed stuff, including the icing colors.
There is a Bulk Barn near me that will rent out Wilton theme cake pans for about $2 a day. I am pretty sure I’ve seen the Tink cake pan offered.
If you don’t feel comfortable decorating a cake, why don’t you make cupcakes and display them on a cupcake stand? You could frost the cakes in Tink colors and just pop a Tink pick or pre-made icing decoration on top. Use a cake mix to make things easier on you.
You can even buy pre-made buttercream frosting but it is pricey.
Here is a recipe for stiff buttercream frosting:
1 cup Crisco Shortening
4 cups Powdered Sugar/Icing Sugar
1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
2 tablespoons of water (or milk)
To frost a cake or cupcakes, use the thin consistency buttercream: for every cup of stiff buttercream, add 2 teaspoons of water.
Good luck! I hope the birthday party if filled with fun!
P.S. If there is a store near you that sells baking supplies to professional bakers, they may have the Tink cake topper if Michaels doesn’t.
