How could I make a homeade Peter Pan costume?

I need to throw together a Peter Pan costume, but I want to make it instead of buying one just for originality. Thinking about having someone come as tinkerbell too. Anyone have any suggestions to add to my thoughts? Thanks a lot, I really want this to work out.

Dye some white tights green, king size pillow case, cut into shag, at the bottom, and tie off with a little belt.

    green tunic, green shorts, green tights, green winged shoes. make sure you make the hems of the shirt and shorts raggety. carry a little sword.
