k. so i am 12. i absolutely LOVE halloween! it is my all time fave holiday. i’ve wanted to be tinkerbell since january ( yup. long time) i now its kinda early but i want to have a good costume. links would be great. oh. and please dont send me pics of the typical store bought ones. i already saw those. i want links that show me a great tutu that would match with this shirt, this dress with these shoes….

I was wondering how to make one because i need to ask my mom to make one for me because i have a halloween carnival coming up and i want to look very pretty.

Pale green jumper. You can buy a pattern from Simplicity. The hardest part is the material. It’s a flimsy cotton. Spring is definitely the time to go to a fabric store. You want to get a very minty or kelly green. Make a jagged hemline. Wear hose, ballet shoes and pink lipstick. Don’t forget to pout most of the night.

The color of her outfit changes all the time depending on which storyline you are following but I would recommend buying felt for the collar in a paler shade than the dress. It can be pale yellow, pale mint, ivory…doesn’t really matter. And cutting it like Grateful Dead bears. Before you put the collar on the dress (and you’ll want to do this part right before Halloween) Take some spray adhesive and spray the collar. Put Gold glitter all over it. Buy a set of really big wings at the Party store. They are about $15.

The hair is the hardest part b/c everyone knows Tinkerbell for her spikey blonde hair. If you don’t wish to cut your hair, I’d start looking now for a wig. It isn’t easy to find. Wigs are rather expensive too. You’d probably spend about $20 on that. Spray some of that gold hair paint in your hair/wig as well. Between the collar and the glitter in your hair, glitter will fall behind you as you walk.

My lil cousin carried a lil bag. They bought gold foil and tore it up into the tiniest pieces so that her whole lil bag was filled with gold foil in case anyone asked for a lil bit of pixie dust.

Check ebay out–you might be able to find a Tink costume from last year easier and cheaper than you could make it yourself since it’s such a simple, inexpensive costume to begin with.

Are you wanting to make your own or buy it? Every Halloween store has Tinkerbell. If one is out just drive to the next.

(I’m on my sister’s account) well anyways I am 13. Am i too old? Tinkerbell is one of those costumes you wear when youre either a kid, or a slutty adult. I kind of want to wear something in between. I’ll be wearing makeup and the dress will be halfway up to my thigh and sleeveless. What do you think? Also any other costume suggestions?

I think that is a cute idea. Just be safe make sure you don’t look slutty but you could definitely pull it off safe!!

Well if you wanna look like tinkerbell you have to tie it up in a bun and kinda "volumize" your bangs

I want to be a teen tinkerbell and I have seen some, but they are not exactly what I want. I dont want the costume to have tinkerbell on it, but I want it to look like tinkebell. I saw one I liked, but it was $60, I only want to spend around $30. Thanks!

the costumes online are hideous and do not come close to the original tinkerbell outfit. i want to try and make it myself but i need some ideas or suggestions cuz i’m drawing a blank right now.

You just need to buy the dress you like and cut the hem or make a simple dress like that from a pattern if you want to select your own materials.

So…I saw this girl a few years ago and she had a tinkerbell outfit, but instead of the dress, it was a shirt cut up at the bottom like the dress and then green capris. She had then just bought some clear wings. But Where would i find a matching green shirt and capris to try to attempt this?

Green capris would be the hardest. Do you have an outlet mall? Older stores tend to carry that stuff. Liz Claiborne, Jones New York, Ann Taylor. Stores that cater to an over 40 market. Try Belks.

After you get the pants just carry them around looking for the top. Any green shirt would work.

Wings-any halloween store. Same with the glitter.
